Full Schedule

LOS ANGELES, CA – Entering her 19th year at the helm of the Loyola Marymount University Lions women’s swimming team, Head Coach Bonnie Adair announced the 2021-22 schedule. LMU will compete in nine meets prior to the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference Championships, February 16th through 19th in St. George, Utah on the campus of Dixie State.

“After both a limited season and truncated conference championships last year, I’m excited that we’ve been able to put together a full competitive schedule for 2021-22 to offer our six new freshmen as well as our returning swimmers who sacrificed so much last year while maintaining such a positive attitude and incredible spirit,” said Adair. “We are going to have fun this year with a few overnight trips to Utah and Alaska along with our single day dual meets. Our first month of training has been going well and our team is looking forward to getting up on the blocks to race in two weeks at the Pepperdine Invitational. I’m excited to see what our young team can accomplish over an entire season.”

The Lions open the season in Malibu for the Pepperdine Invitational October 8th and 9th followed by hosting their first meet of the season against Seattle University, San Diego State, and Grand Canyon University on Friday, October 22nd and Saturday, October 23rd. LMU will then travel to San Diego for a meet against USD on Saturday, October 30th.

LMU will host their second meet of the season on Saturday, November 6th when they take on Pepperdine. The Lions will have a week off from competition before returning to the pool for the Dixie State Invitational in St. George, Utah November 18th through 21st.

The Lions open the new year with a dual meet in La Jolla on Sunday, January 2nd, competing against UC San Diego and Cal State Bakersfield. The month of January sees the Lions competing against West Coast Conference rivals USD and Pepperdine in the WCC Cup in San Diego on January 21st and 22nd. Closing out January for LMU is a trip to Fairbanks, Alaska to compete against the University of Alaska Fairbanks, January 28th and 29th.

The Lions will host their final home meet of the season on Saturday, February 5th against Azusa Pacific where they will celebrate the team’s three seniors, Sabine Caplin, Colby Mallett, and Lydia Zicker before they culminate the year at the PCSC Championships in St. George, Utah February 16th through 19th.
